Rusty

"Our loyal adventure buddy."
Rusty was more than a dog -- he was our best friend, our protector, and the ultimate sidekick on every adventure. We adopted him as a gangly pup with floppy ears and boundless energy, and from day one, he was glued to our side. Whether we were hiking through the woods or just lounging in the backyard, Rusty was there, tail wagging and ready for anything.
His personality was pure gold. He’d bark at squirrels like they were mortal enemies, only to flop over for belly rubs the second you looked at him. He loved stealing socks from the laundry basket, hiding them under the couch, and then giving us that innocent ‘who, me?’ look. His favorite treat was peanut butter, and he’d do just about anything for a spoonful, including his signature head tilt that melted our hearts every time.
Rusty saw us through tough times, always knowing when we needed a quiet cuddle or a playful nudge to get outside. His absence feels like losing a piece of our family, but we hold tight to the memories of muddy paw prints, joyful barks, and those soulful brown eyes. He made us better by just being himself.
We love you, Rusty. Run free, old boy, and save us a spot for one more hike someday.
