# Butterscotch Butterscotch was a Golden Retriever who spent fifteen years being the best part of every day. She greeted everyone with the same undiluted enthusiasm, whether they had been gone for a week or thirty seconds. She loved car rides, swimming in any body of water she was not supposed to swim in, and sleeping pressed against whoever needed it most. She never learned to catch a ball cleanly but tried every single time. She was present for graduations, breakups, moves, and hard nights, and somehow always knew which one it was.
